Surprisingly large menu wit tons of options. A dive bar feel with great service. Would recommend this spot for lunch while in D.C.
MoreGreat spot for a quick and cheap eat - huge beers too if that's your thing! The burger selection is astounding and are traditionally served with chips (the American type - not English) so be sure to specify if you want something different. Stop in at the restaurant above, or order on the go below!
MoreNice little spot with that local dive bar feel, didn't try the food
A little dirty but the burgers were great...try the blue beard.
second time in D.C. and this is my favorite place
If you are a tourist and are looking for a "nice" place with "nice" people, you are in the wrong place. If you work in DC and are looking for someplace to have a beer and a burger over lunch, you couldn't find a better place.
MoreWent to a coporate place the night before. IT WAS TERRIBLE. Really enjoyed this place because it had a very not coporate feel. Is it perfect no... But the waiter and manager were authentic and so was the food.
MoreGreat local DC pub with great happy hour prices and large "historic themed" burger menu. Next time I am in DC I'll stop by again!
MoreGreat food and drinks.
Local dive bar feel. Enjoyed the stay. Jim added good conversation.
Cheap beers. A low key, no frills, easy place to meet up after a bad day at work. Legitimate DC dive.
MoreGreat food and environment! Friendly staff!
Great burger and fries. The food is very cheap and friendly staff.
Inexpensive dive bar, great for conversation
This is my go-to when I'm on a budget. The happy hour specials are unbeatable. There's a large selection of burgers, though the bacon heavy BLT is my favorite.
MoreFantastic food. The Carnegie Burger was incredibly ssatisfying!
Hello how are you?
It was so messy that we left without ordering. And the waiter did not even bother to say hello, he preferred to wipe his plates behind the counter
MoreThe woman there working behind the grill was very dismissive and slightly rude. I mentioned that our drinks didn't taste like they had alcohol in them. And she got rude with my gf and I. Then after we withdrew money from the atm to pay for the bullshit drinks and were on our way out, she followed us closely saying "exit my establishment quickly" over and over. I've never been so disrespected in my life. If it were just me...ok w/e. But she was saying it in my gf's ear...so I cursed her ass out. Never waste ur money there. Very unprofessional!!! Weak drinks!!!! Completely overpriced!!!
MoreQuiet and cozy little burger bar where it is a pleasure to drink a good beer and eat a hamburger. After a hectic day of work it is an ideal place to switch off, a small refuge. Very friendly staff.
MoreThe atmosphere was fantastic! We were quickly seated upstairs at a window overlooking I Street. It was a rustic feel but still clean. The food arrived promptly and tasted great for the price. I ordered a Davy Crockett. The card machine was down and we didn't find out till after they deserved us. We were on vacation and did not have much cash, so coming up with that was a little irritating. I would still go back!
MoreGreat food! This place was amazing! Service was awesome and I loved how it is a small yet comfortable place!
MoreFood ok, girl at bar rude, stares everyone down that entered. Save money go somewhere else
MoreThe platonic ideal of a cheeseburger.
Food is uninspired and generic greasy fare, minus any of the flavor and comfort. Nor is it suitably affordable, especially since most of the appetizers are store-bought and frozen. That said, the staff is very personable and you do meet some interesting people at the bar.
MoreFriendly staff. I came in really late because I was hungry and the bar tender had no problem getting food for me even though the kitchen was literally closing as I walked in. It was only a simple order of chicken fingers and fries, but It was still great food.
MoreVery affordable old jaunt in the Foggy bottom neighborhood. You will get a reliably good meal each time, with a nice portion size. The place on most occasions is a little under occupied even on weekends but this is not by any fault of the restaurant as it is delicious and the service is great. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a burger and beer type of meal.
Moredivey spot with lots of burger choices. my burger was good, potato chips were lame. ok beers on tap
MoreBest steak and cheese !!!!
Good local joint with very good burgers and cold beer.
Best Dive-bar I ever stumbled across! It reacquainted me with feelings of regret I had long supressed.
Morefeels like a dive bar. burgers could be a little cheaper to make it 5 stars
Great burgers, feels relaxed and not stiff necked.
This is one of my favorite places in DC... Total hole in the wall basic get'er done burger joint. Great beer, great service and great burgers served simply. I wish I thought if it first. Check it out next time you're in town.
MoreNice hole in the wall place you wouldn't notice from the street.
nice place to hava a drink. Food is also good.
I came here on a free burger offer from Scout Mob. It's a nice place. It reminds me of college. But I didn't really like college all that much. The burger really wasn't worth it. I think I could have made it myself. Honestly, I think that McDonald's has more substance. The fries were good, and the beer selection was average.Would i go here again? If I passed by and I didn't have a car, then of course. But if i had to pay $4-5 for an average burger, then no.
MoreFun dive bar
Best burger in DC...gyro pretty good too!
Website says 3am closing. Closed before 2. Smh
Worst food experience during our 5 month tour of the states. The woman behind the bar is rude and doesn't listen. The only saving grace, barely, was the middle aged guy that served us. The chicken burger was dry and tasteless, and $5 for two measly portions of fries is stealing. For a place with so many burgers on the menu, you'd think they could cook them...It's also worth noting that there were specials on board outside the building (they looked quite good, especially after the chaff we had), but nothing was mentioned when we were given menus. If you go there, I hope it's by accident and hopefully you realise your mistake before ordering anything!
MoreGood burgers and a great hang out place to kick back and drink some brews
Tiny pub but it;s a great lunch stop if your in the GWU area.
Luv this place
Perfect dive bar after bouncing around DC sight seeing. 20+ different types of burgers, decent service and inexpensive. Great place for a couple of Seattlites to land. Thanks!
Morethey're closed and will let you down HARD
